Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions - the basics

By purchasing a lesson package, scheduling a session, or participating in Spanish U services, the student or purchaser agrees to the following terms and conditions.

1. Lesson Packages and Payment

Spanish U lesson packages must be paid in full before services are provided. Unless otherwise stated, a standard package includes four instructional sessions.

All package sales are final and nonrefundable, except when Spanish U is unable to provide the purchased services as described below.

Lesson packages are nontransferable and may only be used by the student for whom they were purchased.

2. Package Expiration

Students are responsible for scheduling and completing all sessions within 90 calendar days of the package purchase date.

Sessions must be completed within the 90-day period. Any unused sessions remaining after the expiration date will be forfeited and cannot be refunded, credited, transferred, or carried over to another package.

In the event of a documented emergency, serious illness, or other exceptional circumstance, a student may request an extension before the package expires. Extensions are not guaranteed and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

3. Scheduling and Availability

All sessions are scheduled based on instructor availability. Purchasing a package does not guarantee a specific day, time, or instructor unless confirmed by Spanish U.

Students are encouraged to schedule sessions in advance to ensure that all lessons can be completed before the package expiration date.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Students must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson.

Sessions canceled with at least 24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled based on instructor availability. The rescheduled session must still be completed before the package expiration date.

Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be considered used and will not be refunded, credited, or rescheduled.

In the event of an illness or emergency, students should notify Spanish U as soon as possible. Spanish U may allow the session to be rescheduled at its discretion and based on instructor availability.

Repeated cancellations or rescheduling requests may result in Spanish U requiring the student to select a more consistent lesson schedule.

5. No-Shows

A student who does not attend a scheduled lesson and does not provide notice will be considered a no-show.

No-show sessions are forfeited and cannot be refunded, credited, or rescheduled.

6. Late Arrivals

Students who arrive late may participate for the remainder of the scheduled lesson. The lesson will still end at the originally scheduled time, and the missed time will not be extended, refunded, or added to a future session.

A student who is more than 15 minutes late without contacting Spanish U may be considered a no-show.

7. Cancellations by Spanish U

If Spanish U cancels a lesson, the student will be offered a replacement session at no additional cost.

If Spanish U is unable to provide the remaining sessions in a package, a prorated refund may be issued for the sessions Spanish U could not provide.

Any approved refund resulting from a cancellation by Spanish U may take up to 30 calendar days to process.

8. Online Lessons and Technology

For virtual lessons, students are responsible for having a reliable internet connection, a functioning device, and access to the required online platform.

Technical difficulties experienced by the student do not automatically qualify a session for a refund or replacement. Spanish U will make reasonable efforts to continue or reschedule a lesson when significant technical issues occur.

9. Student Conduct

Students are expected to communicate respectfully and participate in a manner that supports a safe and productive learning environment.

Spanish U reserves the right to end a session or discontinue services because of threatening, abusive, discriminatory, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior. Sessions lost because of such conduct will not be refunded.

10. Educational Results

Spanish U provides language instruction, guidance, and learning materials but does not guarantee a specific level of fluency, academic grade, test score, employment outcome, or other result.

Student progress depends on attendance, participation, practice, preparation, and individual learning needs.

11. Learning Materials

Unless otherwise stated, materials provided by Spanish U are for the student’s personal educational use only.

Spanish U materials may not be copied, sold, distributed, shared publicly, recorded, or reproduced without written permission.

12. Policy Changes

Spanish U reserves the right to update these terms and conditions when necessary. Any updated policy will apply to purchases made after the effective date of the change.

13. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting payment, purchasing a package, or scheduling a lesson, the student or purchaser confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
